The Friends of Broughton House and Garden have a programme of meetings throughout the year. The meetings are held at Broughton House, 12 High Street, Kirkcudbright DG6 4JX.(unless otherwise stated) and usually start at 7:00pm for 7:30pm. The programme for April to September 2020 is given below. Talks are £5 for Friends, £6 for visitors (other events individually priced). New members always welcome for a small annual amount. Please enquire when booking tickets.

Thursday 9th April 2020, 7.00pm for 7.30pm
Talk by Jim Logan, Marine Biologist, "Queens, razors, and pelicans feet: Seashells of the Solway Coast".
Thursday 7th May 2020, 7.00pm for 7.30pm
Talk by Evandro Belleza Mano, Design Consultant, "Fashion for modern times, and the influence of Japan".
Thursday 4th June 2020, 7.00pm for 7.30pm
Talk by Helen Creasy of the Scottish Conservation Studio Hopetoun House, "Out damned spot! Challenges faced by a paper conservator".
Thursday 3rd September 2020, 7.00pm for 7.30pm
An illustrated talk by Michael Lawrie, NTS Head Gardener for Dumfries & Galloway, "The school of heritage gardening and its 60th anniversary".

As Broughton House will be closed for refurbishment over the winter, the Friends of Broughton House and Garden's Afternoon of Carols and Evening with Burns are both canceled. We look forward to bringing them back for you in 2021/22.
