The Ayrshire Members' Centre has a programme of meetings throughout the year. The programme for Spring 2018 is given below.

Our talks will be held in the Education Pavilion at Burns Cottage in Alloway. Arrive at 7pm for tea or coffee available at 50p a cup, followed by the talk at 7.30pm, which will last an hour or so.

All visitors welcome.

Thursday 20 September 2018
"Enlightenment Edinburgh: the 18th-century town and its thinkers, viewed from the bottom of a beer glass!", a talk by Denis Rattenbury.
Saturday 22 September 2018
Outing a walk through Enlightenment Edinburgh, stopping for tavern refreshments as enjoyed by David Hume and Robert Burns, led by Denis Rattenbury.
Thursday 18 October 2018
"The Controversy of the Robert Burns Pistols", a talk by Alison Wilson about her research on a set of antique guns in the RBBM collection.
Thursday 15 November 2018
"The Falkirk Wheel and Millennium Link", a talk by George Ballinger, Structural Engineer for the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies.
Thursday 13 December 2018 (members only)
Quiz night with cheese and wine.
Thursday 17 January 2019 (members only)
"Cliff and the Shadows: Music of the 60s", a concert by The Silver Shads with a light historical commentary on Cliff Richard, The Shadows and other artists of the period, followed by cheese and wine.
Thursday 21 February 2019
"The Street Names of Ayr", a talk by Rob Close about the fascinating origin of street names linked to Robert Burns.
Thursday 21 March 2019
"Burns in Glasgow", a talk by Chris Waddell.
