The Ayrshire Members' Centre has a programme of meetings throughout the year. The programme for April to June 2010 is given below.

All events take place at The Citadel Leisure Centre (swimming baths) in the South Harbour of Ayr, unless otherwise specified. Free tea and Coffee is served from 7.00pm in the Conference Room on the first floor (there is a lift) followed by the talk at 7.30pm.

All visitors are welcome at no cost.

"History of Ayrshire Coal Mining" by John Rattenbury.
The coal resources of Ayrshire have for centuries fuelled the industries of Ayrshire, Scotland and beyond. John will be explaining how coal mining developed over the centuries, the triumphs and tragedies of the industry and its workers, up to the closures in the 1980s.
