ABERDEEN & DISTRICT MEMBERS' CENTRE

The Aberdeen and District Members' Centre has been in existence for twenty seven years. Its membership stands at more than 290. The Centre draws its support from Aberdeen city and the surrounding districts.

The Centre organises a varied programme of evening and afternoon lectures, social evenings and day excursions within and outwith the Region. In addition the Members' Centre gives financial and practical support to Drum Castle and Castle Fraser. Evening lectures are held in Aberdeen Art Gallery while afternoon lectures are held in the Maritime Museum. The programme for April to September 2008 is given below.

Evening meetings are held in Aberdeen Art Gallery and afternoon meetings in the Aberdeen Maritime Museum unless otherwise stated

Tueday 15 April 2008 at 7.30pm (*)
(Joint meeting with Saltire Society) Jennifer Melville, "Art Nouveau and Japonisme", Cowdray Hall, Aberdeen.
Saturday 7 June 2008 (*)
Excursion to Fraserburgh Heritage Centre and Cairness House.
Saturday 28 June 2008 (*)
Day excursion to the Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre.
Saturday 6 September 2008 (*)
Day excursion to the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, Aden.

Events are organised for Aberdeen and District Members' Centre members only. Other members of the National Trust for Scotland are very welcome to attend the lecture meetings as an introduction to the Centre.
